2005 – 2006 (study for Bienale Rotterdam)
Living in a flood resistant house suggests that everyday life can continue uninterrupted. In this flood house, the qualities of the individual dwelling are isolated from its context. Its outer walls are solid and round, so waves can thrust around the house gracefully. It has a spacious patio that allows air, sun and light into the heart of the house. Its large platform is a stage to overlook the spectacle of the flood.
