Bjørn Andreassen (1981, The Netherlands) is a designer at Powerhouse Company. He is an all-round designer and researcher, and has worked on a wide range of assignments from interior design and exhibitions to architectural and product design projects. His work often focuses on competitions, sketches and the preliminary design. Bjørn studied at the Design Academy in Eindhoven and at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design.
At Powerhouse Company Bjørn works on architecture and interior design projects, as well as on research, publications and exhibitions. The projects he worked on include Shifts, a research project about the economic crisis in relation to architecture. Realised in collaboration with the Architectural Observer/Hans Ibelings, the project was exhibited in London at the Architecture Foundation and in Maastricht at NAI.
Bjørn’s experience at Powerhouse Company has given him new perspectives on how projects are realised and objectives met. Prior to working at Powerhouse Company, Bjørn worked at Mecanoo Architects in Rotterdam.
