Franca Houg

Franca Houg (1991, Belgium) is an architectural assistant and has been working at Powerhouse Company since 2014. She obtained her undergraduate degree in architecture from the HZ University of Applied Sciences in Vlissingen in 2013. She is currently studying for her master’s degree at the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture. For her project ‘Hauptbahnhof Düsseldorf: Station as a connection’, Franca was awarded the Iktinos Award, a prize initiated by the Dutch architect Huig Maaskant.

While at Powerhouse Company, Franca has worked extensively on private villas in the Netherlands and in China. She is currently involved on the Merckt project in Groningen. In addition to her work at for the practice, Franca is a board member of Stichting De Stad, the architecture center in Dordrecht. She is committed to the quality of architecture and public space in the city.
