Gerben Knol (1987, The Netherlands) started working as a project architect at Powerhouse Company in the Rotterdam office in 2017. His wish to work on high-end design and construct projects brought him to the practice.
Gerben studied at TU Delft, completing his master's degree in Architecture in 2011. Between 2011 and 2015, Gerben worked as a project leader at offshore engineering company Temporary Works Design. Between 2016 and 2017, he worked for Gentle People, an interior design and construction company, where he extended his knowledge and experience in bringing design to the execution phase and guiding the building process.
Since starting at Powerhouse Company, Gerben worked as project architect focusing on the technical aspects of several projects, including Het Grote Huis, the ING pavilion and Velperweg. Since the summer of 2017, Gerben has been working with Sander Apperlo on the execution of the Mandarin Oriental Residence in Taipei.
