Michael Schuurman (1987, The Netherlands) is working as a project architect at Powerhouse Company. He is working on the new development of Koningin Julianaplein in the Hague, and on the recently completed Taalekspo in Leeuwarden, a small pavilion for the Cultural capitol of the the Netherlands of 2018.
In 2012 Michael received his Master’s degree in architecture from the TU in Delft. Michael also has a degree in building engineering from the University of applied sciences of Den Bosch. During his studies, Michael got interested in the theory behind architecture and did courses with the Berlage Institute together with The Why Factory on Density and together with OMA on the theory of Preservation and Demolition.
Before working at Powerhouse company, Michael worked as an architect at 123DV in Rotterdam and space&matter in Amsterdam.
