Rookje Meijerink (1977, The Netherlands) joined the public relations team at Powerhouse Company in 2018, and is responsible for press and publications.
Rookje holds a master’s degree in Art History from Utrecht University (NL), with a major in architectural history. She received a research grant from the Dutch Institute in Rome (KNIR) for her graduation thesis on architecture and propaganda.
Before joining Powerhouse Company, she worked as a public relations officer for architecture firms Atelier Kempe Thill, Architecten Van Mourik and Group A. In 2011 she joined the team at Atelier Van Lieshout, the studio of sculptor Joep van Lieshout—known for his large scale artworks that examine the boundaries between art, design and architecture.
Born and raised in Rotterdam—the world’s largest architectural laboratory—she is particularly interested in the impact the built environment has on people, and in the changing role and image of the architectural profession.
