Thomas Ponds

Thomas Ponds (1989, The Netherlands) joined Powerhouse Company in 2015. He is a qualified architect mostly involved in large-scale commercial projects such as Koningin Julianaplein, the Asics headquarters, Overhoeks and Hangzhou Airport T4. Thomas received his Master of Science (cum laude) from the Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft. Prior to that, he received his undergraduate degree also from TU Delft and studied at Istanbul Technical University. 

Between 2011 and 2013, Thomas worked at Henning Larsen Architects in Copenhagen and Istanbul. There he was involved in various prize-winning competitions and projects. In 2015 and 2016 he worked with Galmstrup in London on various cultural projects, including an art museum in Norway. In addition to his work at Powerhouse Company, Thomas works with Imaginations Cross Cultures, organising educational projects that focus on cross-cultural exchange, including a summer school in Seoul.

Thomas work was exhibited at the Dutch Pavilion during the Venice Biennale 2016 and his graduation project was nominated for the Archiprix 2015.
